When you gotta go, you gotta go

Not much to report except Jackson is still a fuss monster. I was somewhat expecting Jackson to be similar to Eban and that's not the case at all. Jackson is very "talkative" and keeps me on my toes. I swear that the dark circles under my eyes are becoming permanent as Jackson doesn't like to sleep for two hours in the middle of the night. At least now he just grunts and groans as he's so miserable from being gassy. I really feel bad for him as I wish I could take away the discomfort. Last week, Jackson was up from 11:30pm to 3:30am crying and grunting and screaming. It was the first time I had hot tears running from my face as I was helpless because I couldn't take away his pain. I finally got Ryan (who was downstairs attempting to get some good shut eye) and begged him to help me. He did and I was extremely thankful. Hopefully, Jackson will grow out of this sooner rather than later...

We went to the Children's Museum yesterday and Eban loved it. We met up with the Rehms and hung out for a couple of hours. Check out the picture of the demonstration on volcanoes...there were all "big" kids at the table and then one little head at the end. It was so cute. He wanted to sit with everyone and he did!

Poor Nani got pooped on at the Children's Museum...all over her shirt and pants. I felt so bad for her. We had a spare change of clothes for Eban but not Nani. Here's the funny thing about this...when I was feeding fussy Jack, I heard screaming from the bathroom. Eban doesn't like to be changed. So I head into the girl's bathroom and I can't find the screaming toddler named Eban. I head out and I'm staring into the men's bathroom where I see Nani changing Eban. I run to her and tell her that she should change Eban in the girl's bathroom when I see Eban's clothes strewn on the floor while she's attempting to hold him down while cleaning the rest of him, so I start helping with my one free arm. So while we are cleaning Eban and the mess, I explain to her that even though Eban is a boy, we are the adults so we have to use the adult girl's bathroom. I don't expect anyone to walk in when a man and his son walk into the bathroom. He calmly looks at us and then walks past us and says, "when you gotta go, you gotta go." The little boy and the man walk to the nearest urinal and start going. At this point, I'm trying to refrain from laughing so hard as it's a situation I wasn't expecting to find myself in. Maybe you had to be there, but I was very entertained!

And the videos this week are really cute. Eban is learning to sign and of course the only word he knows quite well is "more". He uses it when he wants more food. In the video he is having a melt down for no apparent reason and I ask him if he wants more bread and watch him get up and smile and sign the word for "more". What a ham!

And I love the video of him with his tummy...another cute one.
