Weekend Update (Just like Saturday Night Live) HA!

Nani officially got her US Driver's License! We are so proud of her. The only thing she did was stop when she saw the blinking yellow lights of the school zone and the DMV person told her she needed to slow down and not stop. Like all parents do, Ryan and I told her she can't use her cell phone while driving, can't be the party vehicle, etc. She was great with it but it's scary knowing our Paraguayan daughter is now out there able to drive. Her "real" parents in Paraguay don't even want her driving!!

We went to the zoo this past weekend too and Eban was very serious the entire time. Eban loved the train, but hated the carousel. Nani loved everything and took a million photos. Every single animal we saw got a picture and I'm sure Nani forwarded them to her family in Paraguay! And check out the photo of the young girl who wore stilettos to the zoo...my goodness - who does that??

Lately, Eban has turned into the momma's boy. He has been very needy of my affections and maybe it's a delayed reaction to starting a new school, Jackson's arrival, grandmas leaving, etc. Who knows? Maybe this is normal too? I hope this ends soon as he hasn't been as sweet to Ryan and Nani like he usually is...

We also went to Jen and Chris Rehm's house this weekend. I was able to hang out with my godson, see Emerson (JD & Tawnya's daughter), and eat like a champ as they always cook amazing food! Nani was able to hang out with Brunella as Jen and Chris also have an au pair from Paraguay.

ALSO...big news...we have our first official family photo (the four of us) as Nani took it at the zoo. I think it's very cute and very reflective of us (And Kara...little Jackson is wearing the hat you knitted for Eban...hope you don't mind the hand-me-down!).
