Trick or Treat?!

Halloween was a huge success in our neighborhood and with Eban. Jack slept through half of it and fussed the rest as he is terribly gassy.

Let me explain the difference between this year and last year's Halloween:

1. We went through 3 HUGE bags of candy this year and even had to dip into Nani and Eban's candy bag as we were afraid we'd get egged if we didn't have any candy for the kids. Last year, we only had one group of teenagers come to the door and they didn't even have costumes on. We gave them candy anyway.

2. This year, we had to put Seamus in the basement as all the doorbell ringing was causing him to go bezerk. Last year, we happily had him greet our teenagers at the door so they knew we had a guard dog on watch on Halloween and all other days.

3. Last year, I didn't see any kids in the neighborhood walking around. This year, I couldn't count that high as far as all the kids and the parents who were walking with them.

4. This year, some parents didn't walk with their kids to all the houses...some drove their Escalades or BMWs along side of the kids and watched them from the luxury of their vehicles. Talk about lazy parents! And it was a nice night outside. Nani and I had no problem walking around with Eban...except when he got tired, we carried him...

5. This year, two houses gave out full-sized Snickers bars...wow...what an expense! Fancy! I happily took those from the bag and will eat them later. I know I know...it's very selfish of me and my stomach!

6. Last year. we didn't turn off our front porch lights all night. This year, we turned off all the lights in the house to pretend like we weren't home at 8:00pm so the kids wouldn't come to our door as almost all the candy was gone. I know I should have run up to the store to get more candy, but oh well...

Well, Eban's Halloween party at school was a hit too. Miss Emily and Miss Britney (his teachers) dressed up in their pajamas and he loved eating all the food. He loved his first Rice Krispie treat.

Enjoy the photos and videos from Halloween (if you listen carefully, you can hear Eban say hi to the dog of one of our neighbor's who is intensely scratching at the door to get to him)!!
