New house

I found pictures that we took of the new house...a kitchen and a front porch shot. Those were the only ones that were halfway decent. Other than that, I'm packing tomorrow...go figure.

And Eban loves animal crackers.

Almost June

Lots of news to share:

1. The newest addition to the family will be named Jackson Stephen. His middle name is in honor of his uncle...or my brother in Chicago. He's still due around October 2nd and therefore the boys will be 15 months apart. YIKES! I just had a doctor's appointment and everything is progressing as it should and his heart is as healthy as can be.

2. We are "THIS" close to getting a house in Thornton. I can't believe we are looking at a house in the suburbs, but it’s a very family-friendly area and we can buy a lot of house for the amount of money. We'll have to landscape the yard as the former owner did absolutely nothing with it and kept the backyard as a pile of mud. The backyard is currently littered with half dolls or mangled stuffed animals, two rusting paring knifes, random kids and adults shoes (not pairs), a moss covered dog bowl (of sorts) and other treasures. Should you like any of these things, please let us know and we’ll happily ship them to you. They’ve been outside for roughly 8 months as that it the amount of time this house has sat empty.

Anyway, we'll have plenty of space for you to come stay with us, so keep us posted on your travels as I doubt we'll be traveling anytime soon with two babies. We are moving on June 15th so if anyone would like to help us, we'll gladly provide you with pizza, Pepsi or beer!

3. Seamus is going on prozac. It's very embarrassing to admit, but his nerves just go bonkers around certain other dogs...we're hoping this imbalance in his head is chemical and the prozac will help. We have no idea...

Murphie is fine…we’re looking forward to having a large area without stairs for both the dogs and the babies.

Sadie is now nice. We have no idea what happened to her. She likes us and the dogs. We’re waiting for her to go back to being the mean cat.

4.We went to the zoo on Memorial Day and we got to one of the first exhibits with an animal in it (it was a white arctic fox) and Eban pointed at it and said "DOG!" He thinks every animal is a dog...it's pretty funny! He's good at saying dog and dada at this point. And he loves making the wet bubbles sound too…it sounds like a long wet fart (if Ryan ever reads this thing, he’ll make me remove that sentence as it’s not appropriate but I didn’t know how else to describe it!)  I hope you enjoy these three zoo pics…

5.Last Friday (with the approval from my doctor), I played my first round of golf for the season. Not hal
f bad considering I’m almost 6 months pregnant, have a huge gut and couldn’t drink beer while on the links! It was great as every time the cart girl came around everyone would order beer, and I would get a Snickers bar or other food item. It’s amazing how I can eat and eat and eat.

6.Eban’s first birthday is coming up on June 29th and that will be two weeks after we move into our new digs. We’ll have a party for him (and everyone else) in July once our house is in a decent form…

Enjoy your June!

He's almost walking!

We have a lot of news to share! The little man, Eban, is almost walking and he's a total treat! He's got a great sense of humor and laughs at everything.

We found out we're having another little boy so we laughingly say we are building a football team. I think we should build a hockey team instead as there are only 6 players needed for a team...right? Number 2 is due October 2. Two weeks ago, the doctor said I hadn't gained any weight so she told me to start eating Dairy Queen, etc. I LOVED that rule! Since when are you ever told to gain weight and eat fatty foods. I wanted that "prescription" on a notepad so I could frame it, so in twenty years I could fondly look back at it when the doctor's are ordering me to lose weight. Oh well...the doctor didn't give me that prescription.

The house we wanted to buy in Denver fell through so we are hunting for another one. We put an offer on a house in (GULP) the suburbs...specifically, Thornton. We'll see if we get that. It's a tad weird to think of us living in the suburbs with a mini-van! But if it works out, hopefully it will be the best thing for the soon-to-be two kids.

May is always busy for me because the University is busy prepping for graduation. In the morning of May 19th is graduation and immediately following Johnson & Wales' graduation, I'll hop in a plane with Eban to Kansas City for Piper Rainen's graduation. I'm so excited to see her graduate as she is like a little sister to me. Although I was a tad high maintenance and told Kathy Rainen that I wanted their pool to be in working order because Eban has never been in a pool. He loves the bathtub so I can only imagine that a pool would be VERY cool. I should put a request into the Rainen's for some baby pool toys! Are there such things?! Just kidding! :)
