Eban and Jack go to work

Eban loves to "work" now. We keep telling him it's overrated and to enjoy being a kid but he likes to pretend to be on the computer and "work" - he also likes to put on his backpack and walk around. The below video is Eban and Jack going to work...Nani, I hope you enjoy the fact that he goes to work with you!! I loved that fact!

Other than that, we went to Brett and Tani's house on Sunday for a get together...it was a household of crazy kids. I was also able to hold a little girl...it's so funny to hold a little girl when you're so used to boys. She was so little and petite...ahhhh, I would love a little girl. Anyway, Eban was able to hang out with his girlfriend, Avery, and I told her to please not say anything to him like "I'm not your girlfriend" as that might have put a damper on the evening. Instead Avery was a trooper and egged little Eban on by asking him to validate who his girlfriend was. He, of course, replied, "You are!!"

St. Patrick's Day 2009

The naked baby dance and the "shake your booty" manuvers are common place in our household. They are even common place in other households such as Quincy's. While I think it's darling, sometimes, the naked boys run outside and see who can pee the furthest...is this normal when you have 2 year olds or 3 year olds?? I hope to get a video of this for your viewing pleasure and to embarrass the heck out of Eban when he's older! Jack is busy emulating everything that Eban does. He can't quite speak yet, but he mimics the inflection of conversations and nods his head which is pretty darn funny. He said kitty today!! Woo-hoo! Eban today told Ryan to "take a seat" so that he could eat breakfast with us. I found that new sentence to be funny as well. Other than that, let's see what is new. I went country dancing twice in the last month with my friends/neighbors Lisa and Quincy! It was a blast just to go out with "the girls" and enjoy time with new friends. The first time I got the "hall pass" I was so excited to dance the two step, etc. And not a SINGLE person asked me to dance. I felt so lame and out of place. I guess women need to ask men to dance...but anyway, I was too shy and came home to Ryan all depressed that no one asked me to dance on my first night out to a dance club. For some reason, Ryan didn't want to go country line dancing or two stepping?? The next weekend we went out again, I was finally asked to two step by a genuine Colorado cowboy and LOVED it. I think we did the pretzel and the two step all in one dance. I thanked him and with a heavy twang, he thanked me too. Last week for St. Patrick's Day, we hosted the Irish meal/soiree at our house and Lisa brought over corned beef and cabbage, Quincy brought the wine, and we made the dessert...it was DELICIOUS! Ryan brought out the guitar and we sang some Crosby, Still, Nash and some others... Let's see what else...we've been lucky to host a couple of visitors the past month. Courtney and Scott Beale came in town from Washington, D.C...they are my friends from Camp Cheley. Cousin Kara Murray came in town from Florida and it was great to see her and catch up. We hope more of you will come by as we love it!! Eban, earlier in the week, excitedly announced that there were boys outside our house. He was pointed to them and telling us he wanted to go out to be with the boys. I saw it was our neighbor's son and a friend so I hollered down to them if Eban could come out to play with them. Jaden said sure and off Eban went running to them to play in the gross gutter. Ryan got out a camping chair for the front porch, Seamus came too, Jack and I played on the front porch...and Eban happily played with the neighbors. It was great to see him interact with older boys and to see that they let him play too. He's in a stage where boys rule and girls aren't allowed. I hope this doesn't last long! It could be a consequence of Quincy's house where there are all boys all day...and only Miss Quincy. Poor thing has testosterone overload all day! I also started in a softball league last weekend. I met my other neighbor, Sandy, at the field and we played for two hours. I came home and realized I didn't do too bad but for the next three days, I was SO incredibly sore, that I'm so embarrassed...I only played softball and my body ached like no other. I feel young and too bad my physical body doesn't agree with that synopsis. Bubbles were a big part of last weekend. It was so nice out that we spent a good portion of it outside at the park or in the backyard. Enjoy all the pics of the boys... Bolt comes out on DVD tomorrow and we'll be first in line to acquire that movie...Eban's first feature length film. Enjoy the videos- This first one is a mini "Shake your Booty" video
